Guidelines for Students

Guidelines for Students

  • Students must be obedient and respectful towards teachers, parents/guardians and elders and greet them warmly both inside and outside the school.
  • Good behaviour is expected inside and outside the classroom. Use of abusive language, nicknames, teasing, spreading rumours or verbal threats and aggression is strictly prohibited.
  • Every student must speak English within the school premises.
  • Students must reach the school before the first bell and line up class-wise for the morning assembly. Regular latecomers will not be considered.
  • Students must maintain silence before and after the morning assembly, while standing in class lines and inside the classroom.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness. Writing on walls, desks or benches, spitting anywhere, keeping long nails or using nail paint is strictly prohibited. Boys must not keep long or fashionable hairstyles.
  • Students must keep the school premises clean. They must not pluck flowers or plant leaves without permission and should use dustbins properly during recess.
  • The School Diary must be brought to school daily and maintained regularly. Tampering with one's own or another student's diary will be taken seriously.
  • Forging signatures of parents/guardians or school authorities will be dealt with seriously.
  • Proper school uniform including footwear is compulsory. Low-hip or narrow trousers are not allowed. Only simple trousers and ordinary school shoes as prescribed must be worn.
  • Ornaments or jewellery such as bangles, bracelets, rings etc. are not allowed in the school.
  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited for students in the school and will be confiscated if found.
  • Students must actively participate in all school activities such as Assembly, PT, Yoga and other programmes.
  • The school is a Plastic Free Zone. Kurkure, chewing gum, pouches of any kind, drinks or biscuit packets are not allowed. Students must bring healthy food in their lunch box.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school during school hours without a valid reason and a written application from parents/guardians.
  • Leave applications duly signed by parents/guardians must be submitted before or on the day of absence and not after the day of absence.
  • Students absent without leave for more than 15 consecutive days shall be deemed to have left the school and their names will be struck off the rolls.
  • Students with irregular attendance, neglect of homework or classwork, bunking classes or repeated violation of rules may be expelled.
  • Students whose conduct is not in accordance with the moral standards of the school are liable to disciplinary action.
  • Bringing crackers, explosives or any dangerous materials to school is strictly forbidden and disciplinary action will be taken.
  • Bringing two-wheelers to school is strictly prohibited for students except with a valid driving licence.
  • Any student damaging school property shall be required to compensate for the damage caused.
  • Students leaving the school campus without permission from the Principal/Vice-Principal/Headmistress will be held responsible along with their parents.
  • Students involved in any activity against the institution inside or outside the school are liable to be dismissed.
